SECTIONS OF THE BASE METALS ACQUISITIONS SERVICE
Current Activity
Current Activity is a table of all relevant project and company transactions reported in the last year, with a synopsis of each transaction and in-depth profiles of the projects acquired. The Current Activity table can be sorted, expanded to include summary comments, and printed out. All the numeric data, including key transaction and project information (as available), such as tonnage, grade, costs, etc, can be downloaded into Excel for further analysis. Where possible, projects with known reserves and grades are analyzed for the price paid per pound or ounce of in-situ metals (the reserves and grades are given as they were reported at the time of acquisition).
Project and Company
Transactions Databases
The project and company transactions databases are complete, thoroughly researched databases of significant worldwide property and company acquisitions that allow you to quickly and confidently compare and evaluate all transactions since 1995, a full market cycle. The databases are searchable by
- Target
- Seller
- Buyer
- Advisors
- Date announced
- Transaction price
- Primary commodity
- Location
The Search results are reported in a table that can be sorted by any column, expanded to include summary comments, and printed in a report. The key numeric information for the projects in the list can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis and comparison. Clicking on a transaction Target name takes you to the full Transaction Profile (described in detail on the next page).
Transaction Profiles
Each profile includes an at-a-glance encapsulation of the transaction, including the price paid and the assets acquired, a price per pound or ounce of primary metal analysis of projects with known resources, and a summary of the transaction details with background information. There is a link to in-depth project profiles from Metals Economics Group’s MineSearch database at the time of the acquisition, as well as links to current project profiles for MineSearch subscribers, and links to extensive company data and reports from Metals Economics Group’s CompanySearch.
The Comparative Evaluations feature in each profile allows you to quickly and easily compare any transaction to other transactions in the last four years, giving you an instant picture of the prices being offered for in-situ resources at different stages of development in different regions. Five quick comparative searches are available within the transaction profiles:
- Transactions by price paid as a percentage of in-situ value
- Transactions by price paid per unit (oz or lb) of primary metal equivalent acquired
- Purchases by acquisition price
- Transactions by region
- Primary metal transactions by development stage

Each profile includes the following information, as available:
