Metals Economics Group, a Halifax-based mining industry information provider, has on-going opportunities for Researchers for our online database services. Founded in 1981, we have been recognized as a world leader in mining industry intelligence. Our clients include most major global mining companies, smaller mining companies focused on growth, financial firms, service and equipment providers, and governments.

As a Researcher, your day would involve analyzing and consolidating essential facts from corporate press releases and mining industry articles into concise, easy-to-read, and referenced project profiles. This is a desk-based, continuous task-oriented position, including daily computer use.

Qualifications:

  • University educated in Science; preferably in Geology, Minerals Economics; experience in the mining industry and/or online research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy analyzing information
  • Proven ability to quickly and accurately complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to maintain focus on details for extended periods of time
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage
  • Preference for working independently within an office environment
